Most gyms rent their software. They pay every month for a platform they don’t control, can’t change, and can’t leave without losing their history. We got tired of renting, so we built our own.
The Fitness Business OS is a web-based system that runs the whole gym, built right into the gym’s own website. We’re running it in beta at Gegns Gym in San Diego, every day, with real members.
What it does today
- Memberships and billing: monthly and annual memberships with automatic card payments, plus cash, Venmo and other payments recorded in one ledger. Staff can issue refunds and stop a member’s billing without calling anyone.
- Member accounts: every member gets their own login and member area with their membership, passes and meal plan.
- Check-in: front-desk check-in for members and pass holders, with visit history.
- Day passes, punch cards and guest passes: sold online, tracked automatically.
- Tours and appointments: prospects book a gym tour or a consultation straight from the website.
- Events and competitions: event pages with online registration, entry fees, spectator tickets and instant registration alerts.
- Programs and training tools: a training program library, exercise guides, a recipe library, and free calculators (one-rep max, RPE, plate loading, Wilks and DOTS).
- Classes, workshops and seminars: pages for every class and strength sport.
- Forms and lead capture: free-trial requests, sign-ups and contact forms flow straight into the system.
- An AI team behind it: AI agents that flag members whose memberships are running out, count event registrations, keep the lead list up to date, and brief the owner every morning with the day’s priorities.
What we’re working towards
- a member app for workouts, plans and progress
- training plans, meal plans and full 52-week programs delivered inside the app
- an AI front-desk assistant that answers member and prospect questions around the clock
- text messaging for reminders and missed calls
- member-owned performance data: members control what they share and can take it with them
