It would be great if everyone enjoyed the benefits of possessing an amazing metabolism, were not overweight, suffered from no diseases and remained physically fit throughout their lifetime. Unfortunately, we do not live in a perfect world, and while as a society we have become more conscious of the need for healthier living and physical fitness, we still have a very long road to travel.

We spend so much time worrying about getting the number on the scale to drop that it’s easy to get discouraged when your weight loss slows for a time. When you workout hard and eat right your body gains muscle while losing fat-this isn’t shown by the number on the scale. It’s shown by inches lost, in the way your clothes fit better than ever, and in how you look and feel amazing.

In today's world, kids don't play as much as they did 10 and 20 years ago. This combined with poor nutritional habits has resulted in a major increase in the number of over weight kids. The only physical exercise our kids are getting is from sports. When you ask untrained, overweight kids to perform at very intense levels you are inviting a number of potential injuries.

By simply decreasing their additional weight, you decrease much of the injury potential.

In this article I will provide 10 tips to decrease the potential for sports injuries that can be prevented with fat loss.

As Americans and as parents are we willing to trade the health of our children for the convenience that fast food offers? Are the lives of our children worth the crayons and color-your-own placemats? Perhaps you believe that reports of fast and fatty foods being unhealthy is an over statement and meant only for those who indulge in such a lifestyle. Are you willing to gamble the health of your children?

I will tell you what I believe and you can make up your own mind, but just remember the health of your children rests on the decisions you make.
