Sticking to a healthy, nutritional lifestyle can sometimes be difficult, but it is not impossible. If you are tempted to find reasons why it does not work for you, then it is time for you to end the excuses. As George Washington Carver said, “Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.”
Excuses are detrimental to your success. Now is the time to set yourself up for success, not failure, and I am going to show you how.
While it would be great if we each had our own personal chef to greet us at the door each night with a well-balanced meal in hand, the reality is a little harsher to stomach. I’m not going to lie to you, having a steady stream of nutritional meals and sticking to a specific meal plan does take an investment of time and effort on your part. However, here are seven tips that will go a long way toward keeping you on your road to healthy eating success.

As many of you probably know, October is breast cancer awareness month. So we’re bringing back Booby Camp for 2009!
Booby Camp is a ONE-DAY charity and fitness boot camp training event to be held on Saturday, October 24th 2009 at 9:00 AM, at Mission Bay Park in San Diego, California. This boot camp will support Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. 75% the money we raise through the event will go to support uninsured and under insured San Diego women who are battling breast cancer. 25% will go to help fund national research for a cure.
I thought, what better way can men show support for the women in their lives by getting their asses kicked boot camp style!

Regardless of what some “experts” might say, losing weight is not an easy task for most people. The fact that there is no quick fix cure for weight loss on the market today definitely seems to support this premise as well. To effectively lose weight, you have to do more than just diet and exercise. You have to treat the whole person. What do I mean by this? Proper diet and exercise can combat weight gain, but it does not address the behavioral and cognitive aspects of what caused that weight gain in the first place. Fail to account for the behavioral and psychological factors that caused the weight gain and the likelihood that you will be able to lose the weight and keep it off is greatly reduced.

Good Nutrition Still Possible on a Tight Budget |

Good nutrition appears to be yet another casualty of the recession. As many people search for ways to cut back on expenses and survive on a shoestring budget, making good nutritional choices are often sacrificed. Cheap and convenient foods are the ones people are reaching for, instead of more healthy nutritional choices.
The winners in this economic downturn are the producers of those pre-packaged foods and fast-food restaurants pushing their value menus. The losers are those people who think eating healthy is now a luxury because so many of the better food choices often cost a little more. After all, it can be difficult to justify spending a more on healthier food items when you can buy a hamburger, French fries and soft drink for under $4 at fast food joints like McDonalds. However, my question is can you really “afford” not to spend a little more now if it saves you more money in the end?
